Build a wearable, everyday bodysuit from start to finish
Service Description
Build a wearable, everyday bodysuit from start to finish in this hands-on workshop, using only a standard sewing machine — no serger required! You'll work with 4-way stretch fabric and learn the appropriate stitches for sewing knits, how to stabilize the shoulder seams and neckline with clear elastic so they don't stretch out over time, how to install a snap crotch closure, and how to use an overlock (stretch) presser foot for a professional stretch hem. By the end of class, you'll walk away with a finished, wearable bodysuit. Bring your own fabric, or choose from a limited selection provided by the instructor. What to Bring • 4-way stretch fabric (cotton/spandex or athletic knit), 1–1.5 yards depending on size, a bodysuit needs stretch and recovery in both directions for a proper fit. Ages: Adults only Students should have completed Machine Basics or have equivalent experience operating a sewing machine before taking this class. Prior experience with knits (e.g., the Knit Top or Sweatshirt & Sweatpants class) is helpful but not required. Facilitated by Ingrid L
