At City Sewing Room, we believe creativity is meant to be shared. Beyond our classes, Makers’ Mart, and drop-in studio time, we’re proud to connect with local and global partners who bring sewing into new spaces and communities.
Through donations, collaborations, and shared resources, our community engagement helps extend the life of fabric, tools, and machines while supporting education, accessibility, and creative expression.
Mobility Worldwide
Every sewing machine has the power to change a life. Through our collaboration with Mobility Worldwide, City Sewing Room donates machines that travel across the globe to communities where resources are scarce. These gifts of creativity and self-reliance open doors for individuals to earn an income, support their families, and share their talents.
Santa's Helpers
Since 1968, Santa’s Helpers has brought holiday joy to St. Louis’s under-resourced and seriously ill children. 100% volunteer-run, their mission is simple: “So no child is without a gift this holiday season.” CSR supports their work by providing materials for doll clothes and blankets, handmade with love for local kids.
Every collaboration is rooted in our mission to reduce waste, increase access to sewing, and empower creativity. From local organizations to international nonprofits, we’re honored to stitch together a stronger, more sustainable community.
