Quilters' Support Studio

Bring your quilting projects and your questions to the Quilter's Support Studio at the City Sewing Room Annex! Whether you’re tackling unfinished projects (those UFOs hiding in your closet), need extra space to cut and measure, or simply want guidance from experienced quilters, this studio time is the perfect solution. Plus, it's only $10 an hour!

During open studio hours, you’ll have access to:

• Large tables for basting and layout

• Rulers, rotary cutters, and other shared tools

• Expert advice and encouragement from seasoned sewists and quilters

• The option to drop off a quilt to be longarm quilted by City Sewing Room

Free Motion Quilting on the Sit-Down Longarm

We’re thrilled to offer a new opportunity for quilters of all skill levels: Free Motion Quilting with our donated Tiara sit-down longarm machine. This machine is ideal for small quilts, baby quilts, and art quilting projects. It’s available for use at just $10 per hour after you take our Intro to Tiara class.

 

During the intro class, you’ll learn:

• How to thread the machine and set up stitches

• Project prep tips for best results

• Free motion quilting techniques and design ideas

 

Guidance is available while you quilt, so you’ll never feel stuck.
